It requires consistent action until you get the results you want. It requires determined action when things aren't going your way. It requires persistent action when you feel defeated by the many obstacles and challenges.

Often, we put up a solid effort but still fall short of the goal. When the setbacks derail us from success, we say things like, “I'll buckle down and get it done next time. I'll dig down deeper. I'll be more motivated.”
The right answer to failure isn't to try harder next time. The ideal response isn't to change everything in your life. There's a simpler, more effective solution: supercharge your results by setting bigger, better, and more inspiring goals.
1. Price of Success
To achieve meaningful goals, you need a clear road map and effective strategies. You need to persevere past the never-ending problems and setbacks that arise. You need to put in work when you don't feel like it.
You need to put in work when you're uncertain about the results it will produce. You need to put in work even though you will not reap rewards for months or years.
The price of success is paid with patience, sacrifice, and hard work. The price you're willing to pay is determined by how much you want to succeed.
If you sort of want to achieve a goal, you'll need enormous amounts of motivation and willpower. You'll have to push yourself forward. Even then, you probably won't have the level of commitment that's necessary to overcome the most challenging obstacles.
When you don't get your desired results, it's tempting to make wholesale changes in your life. It's tempting to look for a fresh start by moving to a different city or finding a new job.
It's tempting to set out to replace all your bad habits with better habits: defeat procrastination, wake up earlier, stop complaining, and develop better mindsets.
Cultivating these habits will improve your life. A fresh start will give you a clean slate to build your dream life on. It would take years to overhaul your life though. There's a simpler way to get the results you want.
Instead of trying to change everything at once, look for one change that can produce meaningful improvements and boost your results. Making one change is doable. That's a plan you can carry out effectively.
2. Supercharge Your Action

Uninspired effort indicates that the goals you're pursuing aren't worth the price that's required to achieve them. When you want something, you do whatever it takes to get it. It's that simple.
You display the whatever it takes level of commitment when it comes to your hobbies and passions. You pursue them without seeking money or praise. You pursue them with relentless and supercharged action and effort.
When you're immersed in your passions, the hours fly by like seconds. The rest of the world stops moving. The work feels effortless. You feel alive and electric when you get in a flow state.
I'm usually up in my head. I analyze and evaluate every interaction and decision. When I'm playing basketball, all my worries disappear. On the court, my actions are spontaneous. My instincts take over. I react instantaneously to what's happening on the court.
I'm singularly focused on what I need to do to help my team win the game. The only rewards for winning are high fives from teammates and the right to stay on the court to compete against the next challengers.
I play through discomfort and pain for those rewards. I play to the point of exhaustion. My effort, commitment, and dedication are a level 10.
When you're passionate about something, you don't need to force yourself to take action. You don't need to search for motivation or inspiration. You find or make time for that activity.
The secret to taking action every day is not motivation, mindsets, or habits. They're important. They're not enough though. The way to take massive action in an effortless manner is to set better goals. Set exciting, compelling, and inspiring goals. Set goals that ignite you.
3. Chase Goals that Fuel You
When your goals set your soul on fire, you constantly think about how to achieve them. You creatively and resourcefully evaluate obstacles from every angle to determine the best way to overcome them.
Each problem you solve gets you one step closer to your desired results. Making progress is exhilarating and thrilling because of how much you want to achieve the goal. It's not a grind or a chore.
You don't need additional motivation or willpower. It's the opposite. You have to add constraints to keep yourself from working or thinking about the goal all the time.
Top performers provide great examples to model. They're driven by a burning desire to succeed. This drive leads them to put in intense work when no one is watching.
Steph Curry, the best shooter in NBA history, makes 500 shots a day during the offseason. Tom Brady, one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, performs at the highest level because of his methodical training and preparation: strict diet, cognitive exercises, regimented sleep schedule, and workouts that keep him in peak physical condition.

Find goals you deeply care about. Find goals you're passionate about. Then, you'll be driven to take massive action every day.
